i would love to help but im in ingerland

for any young ukcels wondering tho, going to a high rank uni mogs hard but as long as you pick a reasonable subject go to a decent uni (top 50 bare minimum) and get a 2:1 im 98% sure you're guaranteed to not end up homeless

I see thanks for your input. I think I can get into a T50 but honestly I just want to go to my state school to save money.

thats really good, nothing to worry about then

btw my advice for deciding your major is what job opportunities would be like for you in the future, so i would recommend data science but obviously do your own research

good luck brah

Oh okay I see then thanks. I could probably get into a higher ranked college, but not sure if I will be able to get many scholarships at that level + competition at those colleges is insane, for like internships at stuff. I'll just apply to as many places as I can and then pick the cheapest, best one. Thanks man. Only thing is I kinda of suck at statistics. In my college level statistics class right now I have like a B (85) overall.

its cool that you're already thinking ahead with scholarships and stuff, a lot of people dont have that foresight and i know i definitely didnt even as recently as a year ago

as long as you have a vague/general plan for your next few years with a few backup options for certain things e.g. potential internships in case they dont go to plan, its literally impossible to fail life unless you have shit tier rng

the most important thing is to try get into the college that has maximum potential for opportunities while being minimally stressful from competition/costs, also if you dont fw stats then in all honesty avoid it but also remember you could be doing worse, a B isnt far off an A - lock in a lil more and you could get As in it

I dropped out of a top 10 uni to go to a top 50. If u wanna do a masters u can always go back to a high rank institution as long as u have a high 2:1/ u got in there to begin with

What is a 2:1? Is that the UK version of GPA

What made you switch? Whats the benefit of going to a better ranked institution?

I see makes sense. Would you advise going for the best rank despite the price?
