Yes, when used at fast food restaurants where its a ton of oils its going to be harmful. Fast food is bad even with butter or olive oil used.
In moderation, and without fucking the omega 6: omega 3 ratios, they are fine and I haven't found any evidence against this
However, linoleic acid in the oils is highly addictive, which is why its hard to moderate. So to combat this you would have to consume PUFAs like flaxseeds or fish. I'd say fish is the superior option but they often contain lots of heavy metals and pollutants. So I digress
I'd say just don't consume them at all if you can but don't avoid them
Any diet that fear mongers specific commodities should be disregarded
