I've been fascinated by the life of Michael Jackson for a while now. Besides his talent, what stands out most is the drastic change in his skin tone. This happened because Michael developed vitiligo later in life.In his case, it was likely genetic, probably passed down from his uncle on his father's side. But there are actually many ways someone can develop vitiligo, like a trigger event such as stress, sunburn, or skin trauma from toxic chemicals.

The first two really caught my attention, and I started wondering: is it possible to give myself vitiligo? I obviously don't want to be patchy, but if I developed it and kept making it worse, maybe I could end up with a more aggressive case like Michael's, which might make me a shade or a few shades lighter.I'm naturally more olive and tan-ish, and I'd love to be a more dainty pale. So could it be possible that if I stressed myself out enough, gave myself sunburns, or even caused cuts (since skin trauma can trigger vitiligo), I could actually change my skin tone?

Also, does anyone know about any over-the-counter products made for people with vitiligo, or anything known to promote it? I even read somewhere that putting a certain fungus on the skin can cause vitiligo, but that's way too risky since the fungus could make you sick or even kill you.

I'm naturally more olive
Why do you want to be pale if you have already one the best skin colors for physical appeal
Our white women here would kill to have a permanent natural tan

Fine, stay 6 months in a batcave, do laser therapy and chemical peels with a dermatologist and/or hydroquinone, kojic acid, vitamin C based topical serums if you don't have allergies
