i just think it is, mainly from being around girls a lot, and how women tend to get treated more lightly and given support n shit. but it could just be the grass is greener effect

I disagree because -- and forgive my armchair sociology, but i find that men's masculinity is not tied to their attractiveness to the extent that women's femininity is not only tied to their attractiveness but also their humanization. Ugly women are dehumanized far more than ugly men from what i've seen, and men are allowed to be ugly and still keep their humanity and masculinity. i think a lot of what bjork said in an interview once, something along the lines of "men can be silly/fat/ugly/intelligent/insert adjective, while women always have to be feminine [first]." Sorry if this doesn't make any sense I'm tired lol

ive observed the absolute opposite honestly, like the same thing but flipped. so once again i think were getting back to the grass is greener effect
