I don't understand this. If those three beavers get to enjoy the fruits of their labor, they worked for themselves. If the lazy beaver also gets to enjoy the fruits of their labor, then he freeloaded, but this doesn't mean those three worked for him. Framing this as the three beavers working for the lazy beaver is kinda dumb.

Maybe this is critique on capitalism?

He told me it was a critique of socialism, he thinks it’s a system where some can be lazy and trough that they are the real leaders

I actually disagree if the lazy beaver enjoys the dam that the three beavers build then they work for him.

Equality has more to do with satisfying the ego. While inequality can be bad (rich people being wasteful while the rest of the country starves) it also is the driving force that pushes people to move up the economic ladder. If a doctor is paid the same as a burger flipper, and being a doctor requires way more effort than flipping burgers, the incentives for becoming a doctor decrease dramatically.

If a group of people are all working towards a goal and they will all receive the benefits some will take advantage of the system and have the others work for them
