Should I apply for masters/phd or spend this year surgerymaxxing and travelling as a mid twenties virgin?

I have not had many social experiences, spending most week days and weekends alone in my bedroom.

To rectify this, I was thinking of surgerymaxxing and travelling around the world as a backpacker this year. I would stay in hostels, go on adventures and engage in conversation with people. Through this, goals would be to become less of an awkward subhuman.

The downside is that I would not be maximizing my employment rapidly. Conversely, I have already applied to many companies and always get rejected at the interview stage (because I am a socially awkward subhuman) so even if I got my masters/PhD I suspect I would still get rejected because of my poor social skills.

its a personal choice which you should make on your own, don't let anyone else dictate what you do, your time is valuable, take your time to consider your purpose and your options before you make your decision.

The reason why I am outsourcing my decision is because I've lived my life on my own terms and so far I am a mid twenties virgin who spends most weekends and night alone in my bedroom rotting, so I haven't worked out so well for myself.
I'd say masters but I feel like that would be a waste of life
Exactly. I've already spent years studying and it didn't get my anything apart from some internships (I wasn't able to get a full time role in a graduate position).

Therefore I'm thinking about being daring for once in my life, leaving my physical comfort zone to venture into the unknown (surgerymaxxing and travel maxxing).

is there a subject you are passionate about? or will you go and learn some bs that won't fill the void? do you want to go and travel, do you have the cash?

If you want to work in you 30s 40s go for masters and you'll be retired by 50. If you want to travel, do so but where would you make money?

The masters would be in a subject I'm not passionate about (as that was what my bachelor was in). Apparently though, if you dedicate yourself to a craft you can learn to love or at least tolerate it (plus it would make me more competitive once I did Masters or PhD).

If I had the money I think I would pursue some completely different like film making, dance, music (even though I've never made films, cant danced and am not very good at instruments/singing).

This tbh.
do you want to go and travel,
Yes, to compensate for never having many engaging life experiences due to being a self imposed social recluse who rarely leaved his room.
do you have the cash?

I have some savings to last a year, travelling. After a year idk. It would be a gamble.

Retiring in one's 50s is shit. In your 50s you are old, sick, slow, tired. I think I would prefer to spent 1 year in my relative youth (twenties) surgerymaxxing, travelling and having adventures.
