Should I get a palate expander?

Hi,
I currently have braces and I would say I have a somewhat narrow, long face a bit of overbite and crowded teeth on my lower jaw. I only have the upper braces fitted as well as a transpalatal bar.
I was wondering if i should ask my orthodontist to switch my transpalatal bar to a palate expander.
What are the effects? Are there any risks? Most importantly is it worth it?

Worth it and get a Lefort 3 to shorten face or bribe Giant for u to be the first Lefort 4 patient in the world

Lowk idk bc aren’t those bars used to maintain the molar place? Sometimes if u get an expander they tip out the molars and increase how long treatment is.
