should I go on accutane ?

These past months I started to have skin issues at 19 when I never had any before . Like not necessarilly on my face but like on my scalp and shit wichh is extremly inconvinient .

However there are issues with taking it .

1 Contact lens intolerance
I have a -6 correction on both eyes . This means my glasses look goofy asf . My eyes are my best feature according to me but the glasses make them look tiny . I m so insecure about them . Since I got my lenses at 13 I have never left the house wearing them . When I go to the beach or the pool where I can't wear them I prefer being blind and having someone guide me then wearing them .

2 obligation of taking birth control

Accutane is a very teratogenic med . Wich means if you get pregnant while on it you will have "monster babies".
Birth control really scares me with all the side effets , like weight gain but especially that it was reconized as a high carcinogenicsubstance by the FDA .

Is it worth it ?
And for the people who took accutane while wearing contacts , did you still tolerate the contacts ?

I have straight hair and Never used some Shampoo shit I Went to the doc but he didnt sugest anything my mom also Looked on my scalp a few times but it was gone After Like 2 moths but I didnt do anything my mom and I think it was Like some Form of allergic reaction

Accutane is effective asf and improves your skin hella. I'm on my 4th month of 40mg. You need high maintenance or else your skin will be fucked. Chapped lips and nosebleeds are frequent and you need to use moisturizer + sunscreen daily even in rainy weather unless ur ethnic. I've been on tretinoin for 3+ years before and it was nowhere near as effective as accutane, plus the fact that accutane effects your entire body is a heavy bonus over regular cream tret. I also wear contacts and don't face too much of an issue with them on accutane. Your eyes will become more sensitive so definitely take them out after 8-10 hours of use. I haven't faced any hairloss/thinning issues but I know a lot of people have had issues w/ hairloss so that is something to consider. Definitely don't shampoo more than 2-3 times per week (the less the better) and always use conditioner after shampooing.

Sis if you a contact dermatitis/psoriasis case like me, no form of Vitamin A derivatives will save us.

You need to see a dermatolgist asap (get a prescription for a rendez-vous from your doctor first) then he needs to hop you on Nizoral shampoo and Bethametasone cream asap

Then you need to use otc products like live-in scalp lotion with Piroctone Olamine (can be found at Yves Rocher) and moisturizing cleansing oil and moisturizer like Uriage Xemose c8+

ive been on birth control for a year and 4 months and haven't seen any difference in weight at all, if anything it made me skinnier
