I have acne scars and im allergic to alot of skincare products. I have a lavender, aloe Vera and a Rose allergy so most affordable skincare products are horrible for me. Rn I only use Cetaphil

Not all acne scars are the same. Dark/red marks can fade with time and skincare. Indented or pitted scars usually need treatments like microneedling and laser and chemical peels or subcision from a dermatologist skincare can improve it overall but it usually will not fully fix deep pitted scars

Since Cetaphil works for you, you should build around that instead of trying random products

You cant really do anything about period acne, i have it too sadly.

To prevent scarring:

Do not PICK at the area
Wash with a gentle cleanser day and night
moisturize right after washing (day and night)
use retinol (1%) twice every week

focus on trying to calm down the inflammation and its likely the acne wont scar

how often do you use, what percent and at night or day?

retinol has a purging period so red skin is normal. just make sure ur usijg twice or even once a week, at night, not after any acids or exfoliants or over 1%

Night and I used to use it every other day, I think it was 1.2%

i used to have acne scarring and the product i used to fade them was called the faded serum from the brand topicals, it works really well for acne scars as well as hyperpigmentation. beware it is kinda costly and the serum smells horrible but it does work wonders. don’t know if it’s good for sensitive skin tho id look at reviews first.
