Can someone give me a good skincare routine that isn’t super expensive. I am a swimmer so I have relatively dry skin. I use CeraVe right now but I still breakout mainly on my forehead. I will get really deep pimples in my cheek once in a while also. And if anybody has any recommendations for blackheads around the nose that would be super helpful too

Your diet is ultimately one of the primary causes of acne and breakouts, so if you could detail your diet to me that would be good

I am still in high school so 5 days a week I’m having school lunches. I don’t eat breakfast because of the medicine I have to take in the morning. When I get home from school I will have a snack such as a bag of chips or cookies. Then I’d say 1 time a week i get pizza for dinner. Then the rest is all like 1 meat with a vegetable and then something like Mac and cheese, rice potatoes something as like a side.

While I agree with whitepill to some extent, diet is not as important as proper skin care imo. Go pick up Retin-A (Tretonin) at around 0.025% from ur dermatologist or your favorite non FDA approved online pharmacy. Alternatively you can use Adapalene 0.1% since it’s OTC if you can’t get retin-a. It’ll dry up your skin but if you use a solid moisturizer and a light face wash (cetaphil), your skin won’t dry out too bad.

water

Water dries your skin out lol, he’s a swimmer he already gets too much water on his face.
Minerals in hard water strip oils from your skin while also preventing your skin from rejuvenating its moister. In his case, he needs a moisturizer badly.

Tretinoin is the holy grail of all topicals, and I can vouch, derm gave me 0.025% last year and it’s amazing. It stops all kinds of acne and even slows skin aging since it increases cell turnover. Only issue is that this guy is a swimmer and already has dry skin, tretinoin’s main side effect (can vouch for this too) is that is extremely drying to your skin barrier. Honestly either he gets a moisterizer or he should avoid retinoids at all cost.
