Apparently after a couple of seasons it becomes bull, they killed Jimmy Olsen but since he's an important character and that Smallville is a prequel they had to bring sum twin brother bullshit.

what’s wrong with gotham :(
So many things, the fan service is absolutely abysmal and creates lots of incoherences like killing the joker in season 2 I think just to bring his twin brother that suddenly becomes the joker (absolute bullshit lazy scenario). They should've directly made a Batman series because there's no tension since all the characters have to be alive later for Batman to face.

The animated Batman series made by Bruce Timm not only exploited the Gotham universe to its full potential but added amazing characters like Renee Montaya and Harley Quinn, which are far more interesting females characters than anyone presented on the Gotham show (especially Gordon's girl whose development is abysmal and just completely random). There was also real tension for both Batman and his enemies in the animated series that make you root for both of them, the writers also knew how to write good villains that aren't just doing crime to be doing crime (Mister Freeze for example) whereas in the Gotham show not only you know that all the villains will have to survive in the end or else the Batman universe will miss someone but they aren't particularly loveable or charismatic. Also I don't understand how a prequel Batman has all its villains established already, they gone be too old at the end of the series. It could have included new villains to expand its universe and spice things up but they didn't and preferred to stick with well-known characters for the fan service without exploiting them interestingly. If you liked it's good too, just wanted to rant a bit as a Batman fan.

Tim Burton's

the Nolan trilogy

The Batman with Pattinson was very promising and honestly a blast, quite a refreshment from the whole Justice League sub-Avengers mess

Batman vs Dracula is quite underrated too

The Lego Batman movie is one of my favorite PG movies ever and deeper than what most people want to admit

Batman Ninja is super fun and decomplexed, it radiates of passion

But if I had to choose my personal favorite it's gotta be Mask of the Phantasm.
