The higher your social capital is the more inhibited others are to pull shit on you. If you have no social capital they do not have to fear backlash from you. If you appear to have social standing the assailant has a higher inhibiton to behave badly. If your parents mistreated you they mistreated you because they had nothing to fear. If it were their boss they would not have behaved with the same amount of disinhibtion. It‘s deeply rooted in the calculations of biological instincts.

Yet you take shit from people that see you as nothing in a biological sense. You are not a threat to them. They do not care to treat you with respect. For what?
