The most sensible and moral way to impose soft eugenics on the world is to phase out arranged marriages. The most populated places in the world are south-asia and east-asia, in both arranged marriages are very popular and often the norm.
The problem with arranged marriages is people who would otherwise not be able to reproduce (basically ugly people, this is a bp forum gtfo if u can't tolerate this shit) are able to through a forced marriage. I'm Indian, so I often see ugly ass couples who would otherwise not get a chance to reproduce still have kids. Nature favours attractive and fit specimens to reproduce through sexual selection. In almost every species the males have to compete, often violently, in order to rule out the unfit males and let the strong and healthy males pass down their genes. Humans do this too, but the practice of arranged marriages doesn't let this natural process to take place. If we allow people to choose who to reproduce with, we let sexual selection take place again, and over generations the overall genetic quality of a population will increase.

Why am I talking about this? As I said, the cultures where arranged marriages are the norm are the most populated on the planet. South Asia is often considered the ugliest population by most (I'm not being racist, I'm indian myself. I'm just stating what most people think is true. And I'm not saying everyone in south asia is ugly, there are many beautiful people too.) and it is the most populated region of the world. To improve humanity as a whole, South asia has to be given some attention. In order to improve the human gene pool ethically, arranged marriages have to be phased out to bring in natural sexual selection.

Euthenics. To improve man through better living conditions, education, nutrition, etc. This is the most ethical way to improve the human population. The average Height and IQ in China has increased in the past decades as they have heavily invested in the improvement of nutrition and education. The youth of a population is it's future, and if the youth is fed a poor diet, not educated and given low-quality content to consume, that population is doomed.

Your responsibility as an individual: During puberty, you NEED to max out your nutrition, health and sleep. I'm 17 now and I regret not taking this seriously in my younger years. If you plan on having children in the future, you need to pick an attractive and fit partner to improve your bloodlines gene pool. It is your moral duty to treat your offspring with love and affection to ensure it grows up to be NT, feed it a nutritious diet and educate it well. Systemic change begins at the individual level, if you can't do this shit you should lowk kys.

This depends on your selection criteria. If you use a western perspective of people finding their own partner, then yes this would make sense. However the selection criteria in south asia and east asia is fundamentally different: simply don't be disabled, have a job, and you get to reproduce.

But increasing the population is actually a good way to force Darwinian pressure. You're throwing more darts at the wall and seeing what sticks. An optimal eugenics policy would force people to have as many children as possible, and only select the top x% of those children to reproduce (include some people who failed to preserve genetic diversity).

Agreed. Combining with your previous point euthenics, I think the answer is not just to mend humans to conform to a predefined society, but also change that society to be more compatible with humans. We are optimizing on two axes, not just one. Doing society-wide improvement like this and forcing the individual to put their best effort into the selection process further increases the net benefit for all of humanity.

my point is if you're ugly your chances of dating/marrying are low already. People date cuz on a subconscious level they think their partner is genetically fit to reproduce.

what if we were to analyze people through directly inspecting their genes and their performance on various metrics and found the optimal pairings that way? these pairings could be selected to maximize happiness

Mb I didn’t read the whole thing, I kinda just read the title, but I don’t think most nt are thinking about if they’re partner is “genetically fit to reproduce” they love love and that’s what gets them dating and gets them married, I constantly consider traits like height, face attractiveness, and iq, many girls liked me and I turned them down bc of this, but back to the point, no regular person is thinking that far into the future, they’re not considered they’re kids and what type of person they’ll grow spiritually with they’re mate.
