What are the best softmaxxing techniques that aren’t cope and might have helped you?
Do neck exercises, but use bodyweight, and yes, girls can do this too. This will give you a firmer and more beautiful neck It's better than a saggy and fatty neck. Also, strengthening your neck now won't lead to an unsightly appearance when you get older.

6 sets, 7 reps, for around 6-7 days a week for 6-7 months then take a 6-7 month break

Softmax techniques are cope; just get surgeries if you want meaningful results.
Saying "either softmax or surgery" is not scientific.
The real options are: Conservative treatment (exercise, physiotherapy, nutrition, behavioral modification), medical support, minimally invasive methods, and surgery as a last resort.
Surgery is necessary in some cases, but trying to solve every problem with surgery makes medicine complacent. On what research do you base your claim that it doesn't work? If an oil change isn't working, is it logical to replace the entire engine? Or, brushing your teeth doesn't work, so should we just pull all your teeth out?

softmax is cope, and the sooner you realize that, the better.

According to whom, and based on what criteria, is it not a solution? In medicine, saying 'it's not a solution' requires comparative data. Proof is needed to say a method isn't a solution; wishful thinking isn't enough. If surgery were a solution, the phrase 'early detection' wouldn't exist.

Skincare, facial hair, leaning down, improving your contrast, finding a proper haircut, posture, hitting the gym, staying hydrated, getting good sleep. That's about it.

All that just for a 0.5 increment on the PSL scale.
