How long is Star Treck?
good question... lets do some math...
The Star Trek franchise spans multiple decades and includes numerous TV series, films, and spin-offs. If we’re talking about the total length of the main television series, here’s a breakdown:
Star Trek: The Original Series (TOS) (1966–1969): 3 seasons, 79 episodes.
Approximate runtime: 2 hours and 30 minutes per episode, so around 195 hours total.
Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG) (1987–1994): 7 seasons, 178 episodes.
Approximate runtime: 45 minutes per episode, so around 133 hours total.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (DS9) (1993–1999): 7 seasons, 176 episodes.
Approximate runtime: 45 minutes per episode, so around 132 hours total.
Star Trek: Voyager (VOY) (1995–2001): 7 seasons, 172 episodes.
Approximate runtime: 45 minutes per episode, so around 129 hours total.
Star Trek: Enterprise (ENT) (2001–2005): 4 seasons, 98 episodes.
Approximate runtime: 45 minutes per episode, so around 73 hours total.
Star Trek: Discovery (DIS) (2017–present): Ongoing, currently 5 seasons.
Approximate runtime (for 5 seasons): 15 hours (so far).
Star Trek: Picard (PIC) (2020–2023): 3 seasons.
Approximate runtime: 15 hours total.
Star Trek: The Animated Series (TAS)
Seasons: 2
Episodes: 22
Episode length: About 25 minutes per episode
Total runtime: Approximately 9 hours.
Movies:
There are 13 Star Trek feature films, ranging from the 1979 Star Trek: The Motion Picture to the more recent Star Trek: Beyond (2016). The total runtime for the films is around 24 hours.
In total, if you wanted to watch all the Star Trek TV series and films (including ongoing shows), you’d be looking at around 700+ hours of content. If you’re planning a marathon, it might take you over 29 days of non-stop watching.
