I understand you are regurgitating something you heard on forums but please do your research this isn’t true

if it's for sleep apnea the point is to enlarge the airway, so they will do substantial advancement, but aesthetics are an afterthought for the surgeon in that case.

This is true but functional surgeons do take symmetry into account
