with the continued rise and amazing success of weed legalization throughout this country, there are more questions arising than ever about the short and long term effects of THC and marijuana (in all forms). one you guys might enjoy an answer and explanation for is what it can do for you, your face, and your body.

first, what is thc and what are the ways to consume it?

thc (tetrahydrocannabinol) is one of many active cannabinoids in weed, and is the principal psychoactive component. simply said, it’s the one that gets you high.
when you consume thc, it binds directly to what are called cb1 and cb2 receptors in your body’s endocannabinoid system (ecs). ecs is a massive regulatory network that controls everything from your mood and metabolism to your skin’s oil production and inflammation levels.

thc can be consumed in many, many forms. but the three most common are as follows:

combustion (bongs/joints/blunts): the traditional method. burning the plant material to inhale the smoke. has been around for decades and yields around 20-30% thc on average. lasts between 1hr to 3hr per hit, peaking between 15 and 20 mins (why multiple hits, often a whole joint, is necessary).

vaporization & concentrates (carts/dabs/pens/disposables): extracting pure cannabinoids into oils, distillates, or resins (like live rosin or shatter) and vaporizing them at high temperatures to completely bypass the plant matter. yields an absurdly high thc percentage, often up to 98%+ for carts. lasts between 1.5hr to 3.5hr per hit, peaking between 20 and 40 mins.

ingestion (edibles/drinks/tinctures):
consumption of thc orally, where it is processed by the liver and converted into 11-hydroxy-thc, a much more potent and long-lasting compound. lasts between 6 to 10 hours (with the exception of RSO, which can last for upwards of 2 days), peaking between 3 and 4 hours.

while all of these routes will get you to the same mental destination, they have completely different impacts on your skin quality, facial bloating, and endocrine health. if you are blindly consuming without choosing the right route of administration, you could inadvertently be sabotaging your facial aesthetics.

next, what are the positives and negatives of weed?

when optimized and used with discipline, thc can actually serve as a powerful tool in your looksmaxxing and social interactionmaxxing arsenal.

liquor is an absolute aesthetic killer. it triggers massive systemic inflammation, breaks capillaries, and leaves you with a bloated, puffy "hangover face" the next morning due to water retention.
thc lowers social inhibition and induces euphoria without the caloric load or the carb-face.

next, you would think "the munchies" guarantee weight gain. however, statistically, chronic cannabis users tend to have a lower baseline bmi.

while thc initially does spike appetite, long-term stimulation of the ecs actually downregulates those receptors, which can improve insulin sensitivity. if you have the willpower to manage the munchies, thc can certainly lean you out.

high-stress levels spike cortisol (low cortisol is imperative, as we know), which causes bloat.
the right strain (usually indica-dominants) can help remedy stress, anxiety, and physical pain, helping keep cortisol low.

🤓 m-muh but what about the bad? m-muh isnt the number 1 health indicator method not smoking?”, your nerd neurodivergentcel self may be asking.

don’t worry.
i’ll fucking get to it.

now, most of the negative effects (but not all) have to do with method of consumption.

if you are combusting (smoking blunts, joints, or bongs), you are introducing carbon monoxide and free radicals into your bloodstream.

this causes vasoconstriction (narrowing of blood vessels), starving your face of oxygen.over time, this fucks your collagen, causes early wrinkles and ages your face, and gives you dull, pale skin and under-eye circles.

constant heavy use leads to the classic "stoner face." your eyelids droop (increasing upper eyelid exposure), and your eyes look constantly glassy and red. while some think this gives an "exotic" or relaxed vibe, they’re fucking stupid.

in the real world, it almost always just makes you look low-energy, unhygienic, high-inhib, and just kinda retarded.

all forms of thc cause "cottonmouth" (dry mouth). saliva is your mouth's defense against bacteria. chronic dry mouth alters your oral microbiome, leading to shit breath, tooth decay, and gum recession. if you destroy your gums, you will destroy your health indicators and your smile.

what about how to optimize weed to work for you, along with de-risking and reducing harm as much as possible? here.

if you are going to use thc, you need a protocol to mitigate the aesthetic damage. you can’t just blindly consume 96% thc carts 24/7 and manifest maintaining a sharp jawline, peak health indicators, high-energy hunter eyes, and flawless skin.

so, what can you do?

lots, actually.

first, stop combusting. joints, blunts, and bongs are a death sentence for your skin. switch to low-temp dry herb vaping or, ideally, high-quality edibles/tinctures. edibles bypass your lungs entirely, saving your skin from free-radical aging.

next, get a high-quality redness-relieving eye drop (lumify or any eye drops containing brimonidine) instead of standard cheap drops that cause rebound redness. this tightens the blood vessels and fixes the dead, glassy, retarded 1000 yard stare instantly.

thirdly, do not let your mouth stay dry. consume water constantly, use specialized dry-mouth lozenges (like therabreath), and chew xylitol gum. this keeps your saliva flowing, protecting your gums from recession and prevents your breath from smelling like your mother after our date last night.

another imperative is to not stock your living space with high-glycemic trash. if you get the munchies, satisfy them with high-protein snacks, greek yogurt, meat, and fruit. a massive sugar spike while high will trigger insulin surges and break you out in acne within 48 hours.

finally, avoid consuming thc right before bed. because thc blocks rem sleep, the exact window where human growth hormone (HGH) is released to repair skin and muscles—try to have your last hit at least 2 to 3 hours before you sleep so your brain can actually recover.

🤓 m-muh, what if i dnr’d most of this and wanna just know whats best to consume and why, can you make a tier list?”

sure.
now, to make this easier for your little r****d brain to understand, here’s a tier list on methods of consumption.

s tier

edibles/tinctures

zero skin aging, zero lung damage, converts to 11-hydroxy-thc for a clean, long-lasting buzz. ultimate (legal) alternative to alcohol (other party favorites include pregab, gabapentin, and ghb; but i didnt tell you that).

a tier

low temp solventless rosin/dry herb vaping

bypasses combustion toxins, protects collagen, but still causes dry mouth.

c tier

most concentrates and carts

insanely convenient to a fault. fries dopamine receptors instantly. leads to permanent r****d face and ruined motivation due to 24/7 access.

f tier

blunts/bongs/joints

absolute collagen destruction. carbon monoxide ages your face, stains teeth, and gives you dark under-eye circles. looksminning method. though, we can all indulge in some flower sometimes, it will not kill you if you do it once in a while.

i dnr’d the whole thread and just want a little synopsis. can you do that? pwease?”

sure.

at the end of the day, weed is a tool.
if you use some high dose hybrid edibles as a substitute for a heavy night of drinking, you are successfully saving your face from alcohol bloating and systemic inflammation. however, if you abuse high-potency carts all day, smoke blunts that age your skin, and let cottonmouth rot your gums, you are actively giving yourself a permanent glow-down.

min-max your routine. drop the smoke, fix your hydration, protect your sleep architecture, and don't let it turn you into a low-energy, dead-eyed zombie.
mainly, just dont be a fucking r****d.

i’m not a chemist. or a scientist. or a licensed cultivator of marijuana (in any state or country). and i don’t have to be. i’m just writing to write.

now, to make this easier for your little r****d brain to understand, here’s a tier list on methods of consumption.

s tier

edibles/tinctures

zero skin aging, zero lung damage, converts to 11-hydroxy-thc for a clean, long-lasting buzz. ultimate (legal) alternative to alcohol (other party favorites include pregab, gabapentin, and ghb; but i didnt tell you that).

a tier

low temp solventless rosin/dry herb vaping

bypasses combustion toxins, protects collagen, but still causes dry mouth.

c tier

most concentrates and carts

insanely convenient to a fault. fries dopamine receptors instantly. leads to permanent r****d face and ruined motivation due to 24/7 access.

f tier

blunts/bongs/joints

absolute collagen destruction. carbon monoxide ages your face, stains teeth, and gives you dark under-eye circles. looksminning method. though, we can all indulge in some flower sometimes, it will not kill you if you do it once in a while.

i dnr’d the whole thread and just want a little synopsis. can you do that? pwease?”

sure.

at the end of the day, weed is a tool.
if you use some high dose hybrid edibles as a substitute for a heavy night of drinking, you are successfully saving your face from alcohol bloating and systemic inflammation. however, if you abuse high-potency carts all day, smoke blunts that age your skin, and let cottonmouth rot your gums, you are actively giving yourself a permanent glow-down.

min-max your routine. drop the smoke, fix your hydration, protect your sleep architecture, and don't let it turn you into a low-energy, dead-eyed zombie.
mainly, just dont be a fucking r****d.

i’m not a chemist. or a scientist. or a licensed cultivator of marijuana (in any state or country). and i don’t have to be. i’m just writing to write.

with the continued rise and amazing success of weed legalization throughout this country, there are more questions arising than ever about the short and long term effects of THC and marijuana (in all forms). one you guys might enjoy an answer and explanation for is what it can do for you, your face, and your body.

first, what is thc and what are the ways to consume it?

thc (tetrahydrocannabinol) is one of many active cannabinoids in weed, and is the principal psychoactive component. simply said, it’s the one that gets you high.
when you consume thc, it binds directly to what are called cb1 and cb2 receptors in your body’s endocannabinoid system (ecs). ecs is a massive regulatory network that controls everything from your mood and metabolism to your skin’s oil production and inflammation levels.

thc can be consumed in many, many forms. but the three most common are as follows:

combustion (bongs/joints/blunts): the traditional method. burning the plant material to inhale the smoke. has been around for decades and yields around 20-30% thc on average. lasts between 1hr to 3hr per hit, peaking between 15 and 20 mins (why multiple hits, often a whole joint, is necessary).

vaporization & concentrates (carts/dabs/pens/disposables): extracting pure cannabinoids into oils, distillates, or resins (like live rosin or shatter) and vaporizing them at high temperatures to completely bypass the plant matter. yields an absurdly high thc percentage, often up to 98%+ for carts. lasts between 1.5hr to 3.5hr per hit, peaking between 20 and 40 mins.

ingestion (edibles/drinks/tinctures):
consumption of thc orally, where it is processed by the liver and converted into 11-hydroxy-thc, a much more potent and long-lasting compound. lasts between 6 to 10 hours (with the exception of RSO, which can last for upwards of 2 days), peaking between 3 and 4 hours.

while all of these routes will get you to the same mental destination, they have completely different impacts on your skin quality, facial bloating, and endocrine health. if you are blindly consuming without choosing the right route of administration, you could inadvertently be sabotaging your facial aesthetics.

next, what are the positives and negatives of weed?

when optimized and used with discipline, thc can actually serve as a powerful tool in your looksmaxxing and social interactionmaxxing arsenal.

liquor is an absolute aesthetic killer. it triggers massive systemic inflammation, breaks capillaries, and leaves you with a bloated, puffy "hangover face" the next morning due to water retention.
thc lowers social inhibition and induces euphoria without the caloric load or the carb-face.

next, you would think "the munchies" guarantee weight gain. however, statistically, chronic cannabis users tend to have a lower baseline bmi.

while thc initially does spike appetite, long-term stimulation of the ecs actually downregulates those receptors, which can improve insulin sensitivity. if you have the willpower to manage the munchies, thc can certainly lean you out.

high-stress levels spike cortisol (low cortisol is imperative, as we know), which causes bloat.
the right strain (usually indica-dominants) can help remedy stress, anxiety, and physical pain, helping keep cortisol low.

🤓 m-muh but what about the bad? m-muh isnt the number 1 health indicator method not smoking?”, your nerd neurodivergentcel self may be asking.

don’t worry.
i’ll fucking get to it.

now, most of the negative effects (but not all) have to do with method of consumption.

if you are combusting (smoking blunts, joints, or bongs), you are introducing carbon monoxide and free radicals into your bloodstream.

this causes vasoconstriction (narrowing of blood vessels), starving your face of oxygen.over time, this fucks your collagen, causes early wrinkles and ages your face, and gives you dull, pale skin and under-eye circles.

constant heavy use leads to the classic "stoner face." your eyelids droop (increasing upper eyelid exposure), and your eyes look constantly glassy and red. while some think this gives an "exotic" or relaxed vibe, they’re fucking stupid.

in the real world, it almost always just makes you look low-energy, unhygienic, high-inhib, and just kinda retarded.

all forms of thc cause "cottonmouth" (dry mouth). saliva is your mouth's defense against bacteria. chronic dry mouth alters your oral microbiome, leading to shit breath, tooth decay, and gum recession. if you destroy your gums, you will destroy your health indicators and your smile.

what about how to optimize weed to work for you, along with de-risking and reducing harm as much as possible? here.

if you are going to use thc, you need a protocol to mitigate the aesthetic damage. you can’t just blindly consume 96% thc carts 24/7 and manifest maintaining a sharp jawline, peak health indicators, high-energy hunter eyes, and flawless skin.

so, what can you do?

lots, actually.

first, stop combusting. joints, blunts, and bongs are a death sentence for your skin. switch to low-temp dry herb vaping or, ideally, high-quality edibles/tinctures. edibles bypass your lungs entirely, saving your skin from free-radical aging.

next, get a high-quality redness-relieving eye drop (lumify or any eye drops containing brimonidine) instead of standard cheap drops that cause rebound redness. this tightens the blood vessels and fixes the dead, glassy, retarded 1000 yard stare instantly.

thirdly, do not let your mouth stay dry. consume water constantly, use specialized dry-mouth lozenges (like therabreath), and chew xylitol gum. this keeps your saliva flowing, protecting your gums from recession and prevents your breath from smelling like your mother after our date last night.

another imperative is to not stock your living space with high-glycemic trash. if you get the munchies, satisfy them with high-protein snacks, greek yogurt, meat, and fruit. a massive sugar spike while high will trigger insulin surges and break you out in acne within 48 hours.

finally, avoid consuming thc right before bed. because thc blocks rem sleep, the exact window where human growth hormone (HGH) is released to repair skin and muscles—try to have your last hit at least 2 to 3 hours before you sleep so your brain can actually recover.

idk mabye jst dont do it inna first place so you dont develop dependance and if you do it try to stop because it is a looksmin no matter what. I would rather the hemp and marijuana created be legalized for other reasons, such as hemp usage in soaps, clothes, topical cbd pain relief, and for people with genuine disorders. if you want to to it good for you it may impair your brain development and IQ, and raw intelligence is everything. However I find this a good guide for those who have already developed a relationship with this, as I believe it is ok to do any substance recreationally as long as you understand the risks and legality issues. Good guide.
