High-IQ people who go “I’m just a regular guy, I got lucky, I just worked hard” are lying. It’s PR. It is the same thing as a Chad telling you “looks don’t matter bro, just be confident.” It’s disrespectful. It assumes you’re naive.
People know their worth early on. The whole “if you think you’re smart you’re actually an egotistical idiot” narrative is pure bullshit, pushed so the people at the top can keep people below them.
Also, the double standard in these spaces is funny: looks can be roughly quantified but intelligence somehow can’t? Logistics have to be consistent. If you’re going to treat one as measurable, the other is too.
