stop wasting money on makeup remover

you can buy raw coconut oil for wayy cheaper and it does a much better job in my opinion, especially when it comes to removing mascara

i could see that,
i just use it to melt my makeup then i immediately wash my face and i’ve had no problem.

this works for very few people. yes it does work well as a makeup remover, but its extremely comedogenic and will clog ur pores to hell.

if ur just gonna do that then just wash ur face to take off the makeup?
also yeah, water and oil dont mix so if ur slathering ur face in coconut oil, splashing water to try and remove it is not gonna do anything

i usually use makeup remover before i wash my face w my cleanser since cleanser doesn’t get all the makeup off for me it feels cleaner
would it matter then?

I mean it's up to you, but for me personally coconut oil and similar thick oils clog my pores, so id just recommend regular makeup remover or double cleansing.
aloe vera gel and cleansing balms with limited oils could also be a good option.

yeah i figured oils usually clog my pores too so i was scared to try
ooh interesting
my skin is pretty dry rn in the winter but combination in the summer
though i’m very prone to clogged pores
i do take good care of my skin tho

I get you, im similar.
since you have dry skin I suggest you try the cerave hydrating cleanser.
I use this one as a regular cleanser but also as a makeup remover ans it works very well but also doesn't clog the pores at all.
otherwise, even though its somewhat expensive, I suggest u use micellar water! the larger bottles last a long time.
its pretty basic but this is what I use regularly as someone with sensitive skin and it works well for me

yuhhh i use micellar water as my makeup remover and then an aesop cleanser i think that’s fine i just wasn’t sure if coconut oil is better

using cleanser alone does not work to fully take off makeup, especially water proof mascara. the coconut oil simply works as a melter, then i use my cleanser and my skin feels and looks exceptionally clean. It’s never broken me out or clogged my pores since i wash it off right away. pretty much just a cost effective version of a melter balm or even an oil cleanser, and less abrasive to the skin than makeup wipes or cotton pads. but of course, different methods work for different people
