mewing is mostly cope. But if the mewing appearance makes you look better with an overbite I suggest continuing, but no substantial changes will occur within your palate nor significant palatal expansion at all.

No, probably when you’re a kid 0-12ish using proper posture to properly develop. As an adult or further on your bones are almost done fusing or fused. So nothing will happen because you’re tounge is weak and won’t effect your hardened palate
