Good beard but BAD chin, not recessed but OGRE labiomental fold
I don't have an overbite, I don't have recessed chin, I had my x-rays reviewed by a few com users, I have no soft tissue inside this small little crack of my chin

also beard can also be bad if you have youthful soft jaw but not rescssed on a good jawline beard is not the best either.

I have been told I have a good jaw by a plastic surgeon he said my hyoid is nice and tight too, but the chin fold is just SO bad, I would shave again if it wasn't for the chin

I thibk you should be fine depding on features overall it really deoends on how features work if your harmony is baseline it should he fine then again with a bad chin its hard tbh to gauge.
If you feel your chin is bad try the beard for a while if you can if your chin is fine then I don't see a need for the beard.
