How does the brain computer the difference in a smile with disdain behind it and a smile of admiration. Is it the eyes? Did you even look at the eyes? Or did your brain cut itself off before It got a chance to fully break down someone’s facial expression as it can’t deal with the reality you may be looked anyway outside of spite and hate. It is only when the brain seems itself worthy of respect and admiration can it even begin to truly break down these things.
