Why does it matter if we pick out someone 'safe' for MotM? The contest is ran by the site for the site, so it makes sense for the site to decide who wins and not users, unless I'm missing something. It's kind of a meaningless thing, I'm not sure I fully understand why everyone believes it to be unfair.

The culture on these sites are a bit hard to adjust to at first if you weren't already into these kinds of spaces, like I was (I was a newbie I mean). I was legit getting pissed off over stuff irl as well over shit I gave 0 shits about, but you get used to it eventually.

It's just on every other space on the internet you're so used to people being overly kind or having everything censored to hell, you kind forget not every interaction has to be neutral or positive. It reminds me a lot of the old internet I used to miss. Pros/cons I guess to it.
