I’ve argued countless times about whether there are more good people or bad people in the world.
side note: this is if we aren’t considering the obviously morally grey.

In my personal view, I believe that there is a majority of good- but like the psychological phenomenon (your brain remembers the bad more than the good) the stories about extremely evil people shift the perception of the world.

Today I met a man who convinced me to be grateful for what I have. He suffered from a severe stroke that took his speech and cognition from him. He found that expressing himself was close to impossible other than music-

You can’t place people in simple labels of ‘good’ or ‘bad’. Everyone’s definition of those two words is too subjective

i’d like to believe that everyone wants to be seen as a good person. we care deeply about how we’re perceived by others. why would anyone want to be considered bad unless there’s some underlying psychological issue? that desire for positive perception could be what drives more people to behave in ways they believe are good. though, of course, the definition of “good” is subjective and shaped by individual perspective.
