Nts are not socially aware, infact I would argue they are the furthest away from that.

Nobody misses or ignores perspectives that are out of their worldview harder than normies, they are genuinely socially blind

It's nds who have to actually pay attention to social cues, dynamics, and body language, since otherwise you will most likely be given the king von stare if you hit the "wrong" move as an nd

high iq nuanced thread

guys on these forums want to label themselves as some "built different" aspies and normies as perfectly smooth social animals when it couldnt be further from the truth. there are those little awkward moments in almost every interaction, specially if the difference between participants (in status, looks, life experience, worldviews, anything) is slightly larger. many other external factors cause these too

the irony is insane considering it's normies who are supposedly coping with non-looks related traits to justify their lack of social/sexual/romantic success

Point being they all are adequately socially aware and in a larger number.
Numbers are irrelevant in this context, just because the system was built around the obvious majority does not make them socially aware

A lot of people here just have an inferiority complex in general, so they project it hard when it comes to neurology discourse. Ultimately it was always normies who would spout the rudest most out of touch shit with a straight face in my experience

The system as you said was built around this majority, thus the definition of what the standard for being 'socially aware' was as well. It follows from simple logic.. Your statements are contradictory. They are normal and you are not. You are a philosophercel who is charting into mentalcel territory. They are not. They are just the right amount of socially aware. Read my statement again and then yours. And then read both again one more time.

Majority only defines convention, and convention is relative to time. it doesn't necessarily make it the objective truth.

Normies are born subconsciously knowing social skills while nds adapt by developing hyperawareness - a hyperawareness that hence makes them more socially aware than the average normie
They are just the right amount of socially aware

I don't know, I think the common opinion here is:
- normies are more socially capable because they are better suited to social interaction, but they are not more aware... “npc” or something like that

I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't the case, I've never thought about it

Anyway:
“suited”
suited doesn’t necessarily imply a better reading of social situations (normies are not good at this, or don’t rationalise it), it’s the “ability” to comfortably navigate social spaces

I would be careful with 'hyperawareness' though

I'm not too sure what the general consensus is on this forum specifically but in real life neurodivergents are treated like they have down syndrome by normies when it comes to socializing and social cues which frustrates me because the call is coming from inside the house

Why? Developing social hyperawareness is a common symptom of audhd

I think what is called hyperawareness is simply focused awareness, not necessarily “hyper”

doesn’t matter
