I take a medication called spironolactone. Not only does this medication prevent acne, but since it’s a diuretic, it prevents bloating, it slows hair shedding, and Some anecdotal reports note fat redistribution to hips/thighs from its anti-androgen effects (more estrogen-like distribution).

This does have side effects though, it lowers your blood pressure, but if I take it at night, I still have the effects for the next day. Do not take this off label and of course talk to your doctor. But just thought I should share this info!!💞

Is that the only side effect?

Have you noticed any others? Maybe bloody nose like accutane
Increased urination for sure (because you can’t retain water as well, which is why you can’t really bloat), Dizziness and fatigue especially if your blood pressure runs kinda low, just don’t stand up too fast (I take 100 mg just for reference.) My doctor said it shouldn’t be causing any major side effects. I felt it a bit but my blood pressure runs kinda low without it

It's not necessarily going to give you hips, but it does promote fat distribution linked to estrogen, which is in the butt, hips, and thighs. The drug is called spironolactone, and the reason I say it's like a miracle pill is because it promotes this while also preventing acne and slowing hair thinning, as well as preventing bloating. All of this is in one pill. Just keep in mind, though, like with any medication, it does come with its own risks and side effects, so talk to your doctor first. Though I will say, it is commonly prescribed to people of all ages for acne, so it is deemed safe, unlike other methods, let's just say.

so ur saying this is only a miracle pill to women since its linked to estrogen promotion?

guys can take it, and they will get less acne production and bloating, but since estrogen production is increased, unwanted side effects may occur that they could avoid by taking something else. these side effects include breast enlargement, which obviously guys don't want. And due to the high potassium, it can cause muscle weakness, which can impact gym gains. Of course, this goes for both genders, but everyone's side effects are different. Personally, I don't think I've had muscle weakness at all, but I definitely have had other common ones (dizziness, etc). Guys are better off taking a different diuretic with Accutane

Did you experience any change in your menstrual cycle? High estrogen levels are usually linked to longer, heavier, and more painful menstrual cycles. Supplements or food that increase estrogen production tend to cause imbalance that also increases the risk of developing breast cancer, uterine cancer, PCOS, and more. While testosterone is often praised for its benefits in men, (even temporary) spikes in estrogen for women can be unhealthy
