JFL the concept of intelligence / iq is so misunderstood in these communities

don’t even get me started with the people calling someone an “iqlet” merely because they asked a reasonable question about information they wanted to know

people on here genuinely think iq = knowledge and basedness which is just not true. the amount of times on org i’ve shared my somewhat niche knowledge/tips about LM and gotten called “high iq” is laughable. they will literally act like someone is einstein because foidgrapist271 spent 500 hours on the forums and knows what “diminishing returns” are when in reality at most they’ve just learned high iq concepts (which u could be a literal r****d and do btw)

also i am not making this post trying to act as if i’m some high iq individual mysel, but holy fucking shit. you guys need to stop talking about “iq” in like 99% of the contexts its mentioned in

i could go on abt how iqpill / intelligencepill is also very misunderstood but that seems like a post for another day

I think people just use “high iq” as a way to acknowledge a person has put solid time and commitment into learning a topic

Asking questions is never ever low iq. Making fun of others for asking questions is low iq however.
