Italian men tend to be more attractive on average, I think it's justified in her saying that. Also calling her mid doesn't detract from the fact they tend to be more attractive. It's like girls preferring guys from wealthier areas than poor areas because guys from the wealthier areas tend on average to be more attractive because of nutrition and being lean from walking.
Also some men do do that, but women also have weird tastes as well, it still doesn't make her point have any less validity
