Serious The internet is the number one contributor to widespread psychoticism and nihilistic tendencies.

The internet enabled you to talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime.

With that, mentally-ill people were able to spread their schizotakes and people online would faciliate that and push them further. That coupled with cyber-bullying leads to the aforementioned shiets.

Followed by psychiatric drugs such as SSRIs and anxiety medications.
So by what you’ve just said, would you think people taking a break from the internet would give others withdrawal symptoms and it would be good for them in the long term/less medication or would they not see an improvement?

The internet abstracts a n*****s brain into the physical and the nonphysical
usually this was a thing only reserved for the very smart, philosophers, mathematicians, scientists, theologians, but now random peasantry faggots have it, and it does not work out well for them, because they don't have any proper way to process it

I think the internet was better 2010-2018

Conveniently the time when CP became widespread on Tor...

Abstinence from the internet surely would give withdrawal symptoms for most people. Extreme restlessness would be on top I reckon. But after the withdrawal there would be more clarity and less psychotic symptoms.

Nihilism is a byproduct of learning too much
nihilism is a byproduct of learning too much and not being smart enough to think about it

I took a break from social media for a year and felt better overall but disconnected from the world, that might also happen

You use the dark web?? I have only used it for anonymity reading journalism for example and nothing more 😞
I just like scrolling through dodgey sites like marketplaces and forums.
It's so interesting seeing the depravity of humanity.
Some dudes be asking someone to come and r**e their mum in front of them.

Most definitely true in a lot of cases. Although I would argue that if one is able to hone a life with pleasures, nihilistic tendencies would drastically drop no matter faith / ideology.

I’ve never been on the dark web for anything else than journalism, did you end up talking to someone there?

most of the time a nihilists life is honed with too many pleasures, so much so, that they don't enjoy anything at all anymore.

That’s like saying if you chose to take drugs before being 🍇d then your awareness of the 🍇 would drop drastically

No, signing up to anything on there is dumb. Leaving any trace is retarded.
The site was basically reddit with no boundaries, really interesting to read through at night.

I genuinely thought the dark web at first wasn’t scary, just 90’s and 2000’s internet websites but I think there is some dark stuff on there

Brutal I take lexapro :(
This is extremely common, especially in Gen Z, and will most likely just increase. It can make you content to some extent during some time (personal variability though), but you'll most likely have high levels of psychotisism and you may lose a lot of human qualities.

Reddit with no boundaries…? So did people actually say normal things as well as dark things too?

imo SSRIs and hormonal birth controls has been worse for the dating scene then womens rights

It was advertised as something like, "Ask the questions that you cannot ask anywhere else."
I seen some 14 year olds asking to be sold off into sex slavery, but it's probably feds.

those types are browsing AO3 and definitely do not know how to use TOR

That’s interesting, I think it’s mainly just police on there

Obviously nobody especially someone at 14 would ever ask that, that is strange and weird.

That may be true, but what type of pleasure would most likely play a large role. Pleasure through importance / power I believe could override a lot of nihilistic tendencies.

Good analogy and true I suppose. The best cure is of course creating purpose.

I don’t see the point of using TOR for anything unless you are reading news articles for example

Earthly pleasures in excess lead to apathy and nihilism, Heavenly pleasures come from hardship and virtue, and lead to joy and charity

Excellently worded, fully agree.

The Gnostics found the best purpose imo. It tracks

I haven't looked into Gnosticism, but you definitely made sure that I will, thank you.

The gnostic purpose can be achieved by their own scaffolds, by simply jumping off a cliff. I don't find it very compelling.
