The meaning of "The Monolith"

Have you ever interacted with a human being or a set of human beings... where they seem interconnected between each other to an origin point of retardism? Like there is an overseer... tethering each human to one ordeal.

You speak to them, they make little to no sense, the repeated lapse of cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy is astounding, but somehow they make sense within each other... That is what I call the Monolith.
