Lifefuel / Motivation the reason of why I unbanned myself

I feel like you need to find a hobby that takes up more time than rotting on this forum to be honest. I am slowly recovering myself.
you're right, im planning on playing drums soon so that's what I will do

I also want to read more books in the future, im interested in philosophy

Drums sound fun and learning philosophy is always good (majority of the time).
Anything that you enjoy doing and makes you a more interesting person, to be honest, is better for your own well-being, making friends, etc. As long as it does not hurt you or others.

Imagine you're on a date and a girl/boy asks what your hobbies are:
"Yeah, I just rot on an incel-adjacent looksmaxxing forum for the majority of the day, and sometimes I eat food."

This is true, I will be happier these months coming up

Yes I agree, being here is not that good specially for your mental health

Good, what branches of philosophy interest you / philosophers / books?

Yeah, no matter how resilient you are to these things:
1. You are probably sitting / inactive while on these forums.
2. You are in a toxic environment with toxic people. (Majority of users.)
3. A lot of people always complain but never try to fix their lives and take accountability.
4. Most likely not getting sun/outside.

Obviously, doing any of these things for a long enough time will take a toll and compound on your mental health, social life, and maybe even physical health. Doing all 4 just creates a depressive concoction.

idk tbh I'll have to do some research
but probably something of marcus aurelius at first

To be honest, I think it is a good beginner philosophy because it is so practical, and you can easily practice in your day-to-day life. It has some very good points such as not stressing about what you cannot control, do not be a slave to your emotions, it is not that we have a short life but waste a lot of it (Seneca), best revenge is to not be like them, etc., but also some questionable/inapplicable points.

Read the first letter of "The Shortness of Life" by Seneca especially since you are young, it would give you urgency to live life to the fullest.

I still follow a lot of the main points today.

Just don't follow the Tik Tok / Manosphere interpretation of Stoicism.

@Transposon thoughts?
