So , While ago I made this thread about facial muscles explaination and how it affects your face/Skull
Guide Facial Muscles 101: Shaping Bones, Boosting Looks stats, Harmony, and Managing Disorders
I believe that the thread was explaining fully every muscle in the face.
But , I wanted to explain more about the Temporail muscles and its affect on the face

Why??

Cuz the Temporail muscles are underrated / People don't know how it is very important according to the facial bones.

I know this intro is long , but i had to explain

Enjoy the Thread

Several factors create the construction of the skull: genetics, general health, and muscular action. Yes, they do, though they are not the only factor that contributes to a well-developed skull. Now, let us see how these temporalis muscles participate in the development of the skull.

What is the temporails Muscle?

As shown in the picture it is the muscle that attached to the zygos and mandible and other bones and it is affecting the maxilla indirectly

  • 1000076885
Role of Temporalis Muscle:

1. Chewing and Mastication:
  • The temporalis muscles actively participate in the action of chewing.
  • Their frequent use may keep the strength and structure of the jawbone and thereby a part of the skull.

2. Bone Stimulation:
  • Force applied by muscles to bones may stimulate growth and remodeling of the bones.
  • The temporalis muscles, by their attachment to the skull and action during chewing, can contribute to the health and development of the skull bones.
    • 1000077228
Importance of Other Facial Muscles:

1. Masseter Muscles:
  • These muscles, mostly acting together with the temporalis, are very important during mastication.
  • It contributes much to the strength and in building the jaw bone.
    • 1000076877
2. Facial Muscles:
  • There is a host of facial muscles contributing to the various expressions and functioning of the face.
  • Their action by these muscles also helps maintain the balance and proportion of the structure of the face.

Whereas the general health effects of skull structure in turn partly depend upon the temporalis muscles, they are themselves part of a larger system that includes genetics, nutrition, and other muscles of the face. For the skull to develop optimally, all these elements have to interact.
there are a few techniques you can try:

Jaw Relaxation and Isolation Exercises

1000076890

1.JOR Method (Jaw Opening Resistance):
  • Put your thumbs behind your chin.
    • The idea is that this will engage the temporalis muscles without over-engaging the masseters.

2. STS ( side to side ) Method:
  • Sit in a relaxed posture with your mouth slightly opened.
    • It's been noted that this sideways action tends to employ the temporalis muscles.

3. Forehead Touch:
  • Put your fingertips on your forehead, right above your eyebrows.
    • But partly pull your lower jaw forward, keeping your head and neck in their places. Hold for some seconds, then let go.

4. Relaxation
  • Jaw Relaxation:
    • This is best practised at random intervals of the day.
      • But avoid clamping your teeth together; also, keep your lips together but your teeth apart.
There is a very important note about the temporails muscles , That if you overtrained it your face will look like a box

But
WHY?

Overtraining the muscle make it bigger , just as any muscle in your body.
So that if you overtrained the temporail muscles , your face will just be like that

hypertrophy of temporal muscles ...

All you need to train it to be strong , not better.

But , How??

  • Low Reps, High Weight: Train in the 5–15 minute range to train the nervous system to recruit more muscle fibers simultaneously.
  • Hard food chewing: Prioritize hard food that needs greater force to chew like carrots , meat, etc for maximum force production.
  • Long Rest Periods: Rest 3-5 minutes between every 5-10 min chewing to allow the nervous system to fully recover. Suggest Chewing during the day soft food.
Only chew hard food for 30 min daily
  • Avoid Over-training Volume: Keep total training volume low. Too many duration and reps lead to hypertrophy, so 30 min ( Spilt to 2 sets of 15 min) are often sufficient for pure strength.
  • Caloric Maintenance: Do not eat in a significant caloric surplus, as muscle growth requires surplus energy.
  • Incorporate Explosive Power: Utilize plyometrics (e.g., chewing without moving your jaw [clenching on food]) to increase muscle fiber recruitment without hypertrophy.

If you got any questions go ahead and don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks for reading.

Mirin effort bro, that contributor badge is well deserved.
