This will be a shorter guide, but you should be aware that nasolabial folds can be categorized into 3 types:

Type A is caused by a lack of volume in the paranasal region due to a recessed canine fossa (get your maxilla fixed if that is the case). Historically this was usually treated with implants or fat grafting, but fillers are now viewed as the superior option due to enhanced elasticity

Type B is caused by sagging or drooping of nasolabial fat, specifically this is buccal fat pats sagging
