I respect you for this opinion.
My mom would always use the "I'm your mother you listen to me" or "I put you into this world I can take you out of it" argument for me whenever I disagreed with her on something

And then I'd say something like "We're both humans and equals. why do you not treat me like that" and she would say something to the effect of "Not in this house"
