Isn’t the food now better than before? Nowadays thanks to selective breeding and injecting meats with growth hormones to fatten them up, the food quality is much better which explains why people are growing taller and look more developed.

Even though chickens dont get injected with growth hormones, they do contain naturally occurring hormones that regulate many of their bodies' functions, including their growth and fertility. When a human eats meat from a chicken, they are also ingesting its hormones - from an article I saw.

I feel like people now live a more sedentary lifestyle than before, it’s either work, sitting in your car, hobbies, the gym or home.
Back then you lived on a farm, chopped wood for heat, played outside almost the whole day.

Taste and nutritional value are negatively impacted, they are in theory worse.

People getting taller has way more to do with better overall nutrition (access to food, years ago eating meat was a “luxury” at least here in Mexico) , healthcare, and living conditions
