They do it for attention. To affirm their mistakes so they feel absolved of guilt, reason and responsibility. That is the way of the honourless humanimal. The therapist is a soulless psychopath that get perversely excited at hearing another's pain and then spout nonsense or get you on an SSRI so their paycheck can boost upwards. It is nothing but a game of power. For the patient; it is their will over their realitie's consequences and the therapist's control.
