There is this person I like at school

I like this person at school and I talk to her and she is nice. However I scared what my friends are gonna say. They tease me like playfullying say there is your friend or there is your girlfriend. This tend to make me blush and it also embarasses me which makes tend to switch subjects. This actually happened 30 mins ago during before morning attendance at school. Should I go for it like Hannibal did crossing the ALPS.

Thanks guys for the positive replies, You guys are the absolute BEST, I love you guys. sorry for late reply I had PE class and we were playing some soccer now it is history class, it is almost breaktime/recess I will talk to her however I am nervous, talk to her as her friends they might tease me, for context she is a new transfer who came like last week, but hey I miss 100 percent of the chances I never make.

If she doesn't want to be friends or date me, her lose I suppose and I wish the best and move on, as 1 she missed an opportunity to be friends with a nice person and 2 there is 8 billion people one of those 8 billion people will be bound to love me. Also I have other people who want to be my friends and I have alot of friends so, at the end of the day it is about the people who care about me that matters.

It was recess/break now, i was neverous and walked past and said hi and she smiled and hi and fist pumped me. I will go proper at 2nd break/recess time or if not the end of the day. I will have a proper convosation. I just was super nervous, my friends also said I should talk to her and they would have called her for me. I had said nah not now. But I will ask at 2nd break/recess time.
