piss off, braindead spammer (to that first r****d who replied)

I'll be getting ambien today , purely for sleep. How long until addiction becomes a risk

15 minutes. its mo is literally frying your brain, lmao. doubt i have more than 3-4 years before dementia defeats me

Ought to be better than zopiclone tho atleast

but this is only about sleep deprivation induced memory issues, if i m reading it right

i'm more referring to the med's long term effects on the brain, because its mo is literally forcibly disabling regions of your brain

Iirc seems to enhance memory consolidation in normal populations too( by increasing NREM) although that's a different paper. US fighter pilots are known to take it the night before flight, known as " no go" pills in those circles.

I think tolerance is the biggest issue since it has a very specific target ( gaba alpha 1 and alpha 3) as compared to benzodiazipenes and even other z drugs , so theoretically should be much cleaner. I've tried oreixin antagonists and theyre horrible even though they're touted as a breakthrough, ambien is the cleanest stuff I've used but obviously everyday use wouldn't be advisable.

5 mg seems to be the safest dose if tolerance doesn't exist

Another study on trekkers

that's what i said. they surely help with bad sleep related memory issues through fixing sleep (since it's essential for the brain), but the problem is binding to gabaa receptors equals overtraining in the gym. we are nowhere close to being able to isolate the two (pros of reducing sleep related issues vs cons of the way it's done), since neuroscience is in its infancy, to say the least

i can't really tell if tolerance is reversible because i gained a ton of weight (holy pun god) since i started using it, so i need buffalo tier doses of everything to feel anything

holy fuck, posting that ^ took so much energy and effort and it's still barely intelligible. a clear sign to slow down with drinking considering it's only 4 pm here

I still think it would be much better than alcohol for example since alcohol has a very broad way of activating gaba a subunits, while zolpidem is selective for the hypnotic subunits (gaba a alpha 1 and alpha 3), it might not be perfect but I think its miles ahead of anything we have right now. antipsychotics, antihistamines, tca, trazadone, benzos , oreixin antagonists even other z drugs. I think once it makes you sleep earlier , then it would be easier to taper off since sleeping at night is much easier than sleeping at say 4 am and having to deal with light, noise issues etc.

dont get me wrong, it works like a charm for sleep. just saying that i m sus about that method of fixing your biorhythm being optimal - simply put, it's an overkill. and yeah, obv everything is better than alcohol.
