Thoughts on abortions

Abortions morally is wrong

However abortions bring benefits to the table in terms of roi iykyk

Ideal for me would be abortions only in emergencies

It’s also just another scheme. Sex wasn’t nearly as accessible before then 1920s so abortion was practically useless. Nowadays people just want to have fun and entertain themselves , sex is a form of entertainment nowadays for the ratsv
im a man i dont really have an opinion on it but i think whatever makes the woman confortable is the right choice
I was thinking. People nowadays have normalized casual sex far more than they should. We live in a generation where people act as if sex has no consequences. If society had stronger morals and people were more responsible, abortion wouldn't even be such a common topic of discussion. People would wait until they were mature and ready to have children instead of having sex at 15 and then treating pregnancy as an inconvenience And then the argument becomes, "It can't choose for itself, so it isn't really a human being." I don't understand that logic. Just because someone can't speak or make decisions for themselves doesn't mean they lose their humanity or their right to live.

ok for r**e cases and situations where the mom could die, shouldn't happen any other time
what about if they have down syndrome? i thought everyone here just loooooves eugenics

I think if you're consensually doing things that could induce pregnancy, you have to be prepared to accept that baby no matter how it comes out. Down syndrome is only sometimes fatal so having an abortion to prevent suffering is illogical, they still deserve to live just like anyone else.

you seem to have stronger morals than most

Abortion should never be used as birth control. If the woman was r***d, if the baby is almost guaranteed to die, or if the mother is too young/has other complications that could kill her in labor I think it's a necessary evil but should be caught absolutely as soon as possible. I personally would never get an abortion, but I would honestly not vote for abortion bans because they're often no-exception and it's not my decision to make for the woman

Arguing that it's a human too is somewhat valid especially in later developmental stages but if it's functionally unable to survive outside the mother it doesn't really have autonomy yet and it's the host's decision tbh

Yeah i pretty much agree with all that. though imo if you abort at the point where, if it was born, it could survive as a preemie. That is just murder at that point, same as if someone chucked a premature baby out a window or sumn.

This

Well said

Abortion is murder
Murder is wrong
Therefore abortion is wrong
I think getting people convinced that abortion is murder is where you lose a lot of people. Making it the hardest part of the argument

Should always be legal. Your body, your deciscion. Fetus doesn't experience pain, isn't aware it exists, and doesn't give a fuck. The mother has a life, family, and future that matters significantly more than that of a clump of cells. Her call. "Oh but that baby could've cured cancer" sure, but that baby could've also been Hitler. In the end it don't matter.
