First of all, dont go to dermatologist, it will not help you, dermatology is a lie. They are just making you buy expensive useless things, putting chemicals on your face will make it worse.
Our faces do not needs chemicals, eventually, if your face are used to the chemicals, when you stop using them, your face will get ruined and have acne.
That explains why most men dont have acne by just cleaning their faces with water, meanwhile, women use a lot of products on their faces, that they call "skincare", it ruins their skin, and what do they do to cover? Makeup, right? That will just be worse to their skin, adding chemicals, then makeup to cover all the acne, so at that point why do they need chemicals to "save" their faces if they will ruin it with makeup. Makeup and most chemicals are bullshit.
To get rid of acne, the most important thing is to sunbath, go outside, drink at least 1,5L of water per day and obviously wash your face with tap water, always moisturize ( moisturizer is the only chemical that is beneficial, dont use any other chemicals), dont touch your face with dirty hands and have a good diet, cut sugar and processed foods/drinks.
Its simple to have a clear skin and get rid of acne, chemicals and all that marketing is what makes this complicated.
I hope this helps.
