So basically, androgens, like DHT play a huge part in causing your glands to produce more sebum. In theory, wouldn't applying a small amount of like topical finasteride a few times a week to the super oilu/blackhead areas like my nose and midface work to directly reduce sebum production?

Pretty sure there's other causes to acne than DHT, you're better off using a product specific for skin quality

Of course there are other causes, but DHT is a big one. Do you have any product recs other than accutaine to nuke sebum production?

are there any other topicals other than accutaine and retinoids that can actually reduce sebum production.
That's all you need tbh. Can't get a prescription or go onto the grey market for whatever reason? Just use retinol

Stabilised spirolactone maybe for his mild anti-DHT effect ?

Don't hop on topical fin or duta if you haven't any aggressive hair loss

Damn I was hoping there would be another useful topical. I don't really want to do accutaine bc of side effects. Could you run a low dose of accutaine for like a month just to reduce sebum a bit then hop off and keep your progress? My skin is good but I want it to be even better

I have all my hair, im 20 but I was thinking of applying like a tiny amount of topical finasteride like 3x a week just to prevent any loss from happening. I also started using minoxodil for hairmaxxing purposes, and I think that by upregulating the growth pathways with minoxodil im helping preserve the hair follicle also

Effects will die down slowly, purging will probably be happening at the point of a month too anyway
