the people who are nice to everyone aren’t genuinely kind people, they just care too much about what other people think, so they think if they be nice to everyone people will do the same in return, you can just tell it’s fake

and i would much rather someone just be honest with me than lie to my face to try and not hurt my feelings, there is no way to grow when people lie to you

my point was that people are delusional and, somehow, believe that them saying they aren't -name a flaw- is positively correlated with them not actually having that flaw, when it couldn't be more wrong empirically. another good example are people who claim (for themselves) that they are too good/nice and always get mistreated or used by others because of that. of course, in reality, they are almost always massive faggots and the source of the problem
