That’s right.
No more sliding into DMs like:
“Hey… so… hypothetically… if someone posted something extremely embarrassing at 2:17 a.m. could that vanish?”
Hypothetically?
No.
Starting March 1st, if you hit “Post,” you have entered into a legally binding relationship with your own bad decisions.
We will no longer remove your content just because:
You sobered up.
Your ex viewed it.
Your situationship screenshotted it.
Your frontal lobe finally clocked in.
However, we’re not monsters. Exceptions still apply:
It contains sensitive, private, or identifying information (we don’t do doxxing, relax).
It violates community guidelines (we enjoy chaos, not lawsuits).
Staff decides it’s better for humanity if it disappears.
It’s a rating thread. Those are on life support anyway.
We are not your PR agency.
We are not your damage control team.
We are absolutely not your “please erase my personality from last night” department.
Post responsibly.
Or don’t.
Just understand:
The internet remembers.
And now, so do we.

ai thread btw, not even typing the usual essay would get me to this level of performance

israelgpt generate me a new bullshit rule for .com so we can catch antisemitic goys, enforced by the mossad
bzzz- understood! generating a new rule constructed by palantir extracting data from NSA servers, asking bill gates for assistance, arranging a double date for diddy n epstein, eating babies, rerouting the mainframe: Succes! your new rule is: users can no longer delete thread!

Will just clog up server with autism, makes no real sense. There's better ways to address this e.g if a post is referencing another post it can reference it in the tag as reference. Admins using 3 brain cells a min

Deleted posts remain on the server regardless, we don't hard delete threads. & What you're saying requires a code/site change which is Dean thing and not anything we can change.

Why don't you hard delete threads? Are you guys on Xenforo & I assumed Dean is heavily active and plays a role in these change, do you guys not have access to the source code to make site changes?

Yes, we use XenForo. Copyright is usually seen on the footer of a site (unless they bought the copyright removal but it's unlikely many sites do this). And because it doesn't make sense for a website to hard delete data like that, especially when most of the tools are focused on content moderation and referring to previously moderated content is important. It would be different if moderation was automatic.

We have access to the source of XenForo, but not .com's version of XenForo, because XenForo's ACP is built on a permission system and Dean has provided a limited amount of permissions to Admins to access only certain parts of the ACP (Which is the smart thing to do). Dean is the only Super Administrator of .com and therefore is the only one who can make any back-end or changes to the site's code.
