I 100% understand if you don't have the time to play video games or watch movies but I'd rather you take 10-30 minutes out of your day to play your game than to watch or listen to a video essay, I feel like 90% of opinions I see on twitter especially in fandoms is just the same speculation, for example silent hill 2. I think silent hill 2 is a good example of this

90% of video essay's is like watching a lecture at once you don't digest all the info and imo sometimes the creator put's their own interpenetration instead of letting people think for themselves. As well.

I also think it ruins creativity, imagine this pouring your work soul into a piece of media you created just for someone to summarize everything in 1-2 hours when the project YOU created took much more than that and then it has more views than the original piece. This is unrelated but still gets my message across.

I think you guy's should start consuming media and make up your own POV. and I get it it could be hard to do so, I had to watch the shining 2-4 times to understand that the shining is about a man slowly turning psychotic because of his isolation with his wife and child in a haunted hotel. Or another interpenetration could be Jack was possessed which was my theory when I watched it at 13.

I know this thread is weird and I may come off as "DO THIS" but its up to you really, I think you should have original opinions and not have the same opinions as others or consume a easily digestible video essay.

Have your own opinions and share your thoughts and interpretations because to me, when I was a young boy, art was always about how you see it and the emotions it makes you feel not the opinions of others
