Seems like Rhodesia's issue are caused by public policy and communism. Plenty of white countries have experienced hyperinflation and communism too. It's like saying Russia would have been better off a monarchy, without realizing it's collapse was because it was a monarchy, which failed to properly function. It wasn't just at the benefit for themselves. Black natives could finally earn a stronger wage and could enjoy all the benefits that come with living in a British colony. There was economic benefit for all.

Zimbabwe isn't even a democracy nowadays, the party ZANU suppresses all opposition, controls the media, and uses state power to maintain control, making elections unfair and flawed.
