No, social media and school push this idiotic idea that you need to be perfect, or if you're not already near perfect, you shouldn't improve yourself. This will then affect every subgroup in life/school; they will reject you based on how you act/look because they've been told to. Male or female.
I'm not saying we don't naturally have a preferred liking towards better-looking people; what I am saying is that it's inflated.

And sadly you can never really escape it if you continue to conform to society.
