Wearing braces retainer?

In some months, my braces will be taken off and I will likely have to wear a retainer. Should I? Will it inhibit growth?

I mean that I have already had treatment and that I read that after getting braces you have to wear a retainer to keep them in place. And I feel like keeping them in place won't let my face grow (pubertymax) bc it is being held where it is.

I mean if u don wear them ur teeth are gonna move back to their old positions. But yes they can also inhibit growth. It’s why I’m glad I got braces as an adult. Palate expanders are a better option when ur younger cause bone is still very malleable
