to answer the question though, obvious no. protein in hair products is processed, hydrolyzed, broken down to actually penetrate the shaft. raw protein from whatever source just sits on top and does nothing. your hair can't absorb a whole protein molecule.

also the smell. imagine explaining that to anyone who gets within two feet of you.

just use a protein mask like a normal person.
