Really, not even if people are disrespecting a child of yours? Would you let that slide? I assume you would obviously use it in self-defence but to stand your ground? What's wrong with being violent?

If you can't tolerate your opponent without resorting to violence, it's a sign of intellectual inferiority.

If you ignore them, they will make a fool out of themselves anyway.

I'm confused.

He assumed that I would defend myself against violence, so I replied to his post based on this assumption.
Of course, I would use violence as a means of self-defence.

That's not always the case tho. People will pick on the weak in early stages. School etc. Yes after that, you can mostly rely on your words.

Kicking or pushing someone will make the other respect you in a school-bully situation. I think it's better to be "violent" in a sitaution like this, than being picked on for many months.

Worked for me at least in school once when a guy tried testing me. He kept tormenting the others who didn't stand their ground, some people just don't care what comes out of your mouth
