i did in fact forget about the many ancient greek philosophers who were from subsaharan africa and contributed greatly to the modern intelectual and political systems of the west today. i also forgot about the many black architects who designed things like the hagia sofia

He was born into slavery, ended up graduating from college as an agricultural scientist, invented a lot of the farming an irrigation methods we use today, invented peanut butter, etc.

you mean bebers and arabs mainly?

islam, as destructive as it is, has done a lot for scientific progress. but to be fair a great deal of it wasn't innovation and invention. the islamic golden age was in many ways a massive translation and systematization project that also generated original work

islam carried scientific knowledge across continents, but mainly in the mediterranean and middle eastern regions

Still went very far In life considering where he came from. Also look in to Nelson Mandela. Ended apartheid in south Africa

he integrated east africa into trans-saharan intellectual life. the mali empire declined within a century of his death but the cultural prestige he set in motion lasted longer

he was no charlemagne but he did do a bit more than leverage natural resources

for context in europe at this time you had people inventing the mechanical escapement, double entry bookkeeping, and eyeglasses. in china there was the handcannon

my n***a when i'm talking about a race's achievements I don't give a fuck about the entertainment industry jfl, I always cage whenever I see black culture edits and n*****s put fucking celebrities and athletes, meanwhile in white culture edits they put empires that conquered half the planet
